According to WABetaInfo, the cross-platform messaging app owned by Meta is working on a new feature that will allow you to transfer chat history from one iPhone to another without using iCloud.
The new feature, called “Transfer chat history to iPhone” was discovered in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.9.0.72.
This feature is available to some beta testers, and it is rolling out to more people over the coming weeks. It works in a very simple way: just download WhatsApp on the new iPhone, register with the same number and then using the old device scan the QR code shown on the new iPhone to start the transfer.
