Apple uses USB-C ports on all Macs currently on sale. We can also see this connection on the iPad Pro 2018 (and newer), the iPad Air 2020 (and newer), the sixth generation iPad mini, the Studio Display, the Pro Display XDR, the Magic Keyboard for iPad, the Beats Flex, the Beats Fit Pro, charging cases for the Beats Studio Buds...
The list is starting to get long.
Rumors suggest that at least five other Apple products and accessories will also switch to USB-C in the near future, regardless of future obligations imposed by the European Union (the EU has reached an agreement to make USB-C ports mandatory for all smartphones starting 2024, including iPhones).
As explained by Filipe Espòsito and Mark Gurman, Apple plans to implement USB-C on the next entry-level iPad, which could hit the market in September 2022, along with the new iPhone 14.
The iPhone 14 is expected to stick with the Lightning connector, but according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at least one new iPhone 15 model will feature a USB-C port in 2023.
Kuo also expects Apple's trio of Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse accessories for the Mac to adopt USB-C ports in the future.
Other accessories should follow, such as the MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12.
Apple's new AirPods models, which will be released at the end of the year, will also feature USB-C charging cases.
