Apple announced a new product launch event for September 7. The company is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 lineup.
Four variations of the iPhone 14 will be released that day: a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.7-inch iPhone Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone Pro Max.
Apple is rumored to ditch the notch in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max in favour of a 'pill + hole' design containing the front camera and FaceID tech. Standard iPhone 14 models will not see many design changes.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple is planning to retain the Lightning connector. This year's new models will not have the USB-C port.
By autumn 2024, all new mobile phones, tablets and cameras for sale in the EU must be compatible with USB-C ports. Apple will switch to the standard connector in 2023, with the release of iPhone 15.
