Analyzing the new version of WhatsApp beta 2.22.15.5 for Android, WABetaInfo experts have found a really interesting new feature that will allow users to create a virtual avatar that can be used for video calls.

There is no information available on whether this feature would see the light of the day, let alone its release date. According to WABetaInfo, it has been in development since March.

A screenshot shared by the website that tracks the latest WhatsApp updates shows a “Switch to avatar” button during the video call. The button doesn't work at the moment.
