WhatsApp announced "Accidental Delete", a new feature that allows you to undo a deleted message in group chats (it is not yet known if the feature will also be available for individual conversations).
"We've all been there, but now you can UNDO when you accidentally delete a message for you that you meant to delete for everyone!" wrote WhatsApp on Twitter.
After pressing "Delete for me", you will have 5 seconds to restore the message you just deleted. The "cancel" button will not appear if you pressed "delete for all" (the operation remains irreversible).
Five seconds may not be long, but it’s enough time to quickly fix an uncomfortable mistake.
Accidental Delete is a simple but valuable feature that will soon be available for all users and on all devices.
