The iPhone 14 is official
The iPhone 14 has been officially unveiled. As expected, there are four models to choose from: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max.
The new base model iPhone is available in two sizes, with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen diagonals. It looks basically the same as the iPhone 13 and comes in five colours: Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, and PRODUCT(RED). New features include upgraded cameras, better battery life, and satellite connectivity. The iPhone 14 will start at $799, the Plus will cost $899. Preorders start on Sept 9. The smaller version will go on sale on Sept. 16. The Plus model won’t ship until October.
The first notable design change with the iPhone 14 Pro models is the display. The notch is being replaced by a pill-shaped cutout that will house the Face ID components and a second circular cutout for the front-facing camera. The other big change with the screen is that the iPhone 14 Pro has an always-on display. The iPhone 14 Pro has a lot of new features: a new low-power mode to make the battery life last longer, A16 Bionic chip, a 48-megapixel camera, better low-light photography... The Pro models will come in four colors: space black, silver, gold, and deep purple. The iPhone 14 Pro will start at $999, the bigger model at $1099. They go up for preorder on Friday and will ship next week.
