The Pro and Pro Max versions of the new iPhone 14 should support an always-on display feature.
Present on certain Android devices and on the Apple Watch (since Series 5), the technology allows the system to keep showing some information on the screen while consuming very little battery power.
9to5Mac has found new details in the source code of the new iOS 16 beta.
iOS 16 no longer uses static images. Native wallpapers are multi-layered vectors rendered in real time. They adapt to the state in which the smartphone is and come with a feature called "Sleep".
Once the user turns off the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro, the wallpaper switches to the “Sleep” version and the image darkens automatically, to better highlight the information contained therein (as it does on the Apple Watch).
Will this feature apply to all images?
