The social network X will give users the ability to make voice and video calls on the platform.

“Video & audio calls coming to X. Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC. No phone number needed,” Musk posted Thursday on the former Twitter.

Andrea Conway, a current designer at X, shared two screenshots of the feature, indicating what to expect from the interface. The first shared image shows X's DM between people, where you can spot a phone icon in the top right corner. Tapping it will allow users to have an audio or video call with the person from the DM. The other shared image reveals the in-progress video calling interface. It is very clean and minimal, with four buttons at the bottom of the screen (one to enable/disable the audio, one to mute/unmute the mic, one to turn off/on the camera and one to end the call).
