Skydiver Hatton Smith didn’t realize that he’d left his iPhone in his pocket when he jumped from 14,000 feet.
An Instagram reel shows the device falling out of his pocket in the air. Despite the fall (which allowed the iPhone to travel at over 100 mph), it was working just fine after he pulled it out of the ground.
Landing in a muddy area, with no rocks or solid ground, helped avoid major damage. Smith also shared in the comments he was thankful he had a Catalyst case on his iPhone.
