According to WABetaInfo, the cross-platform messaging app owned by Meta is working on a new feature that will allow you to transfer chat history from one smartphone Android to another without using iCloud.
The new feature, called “Transfer chat history to Android Phone” was discovered in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.19.
This feature is available to some beta testers, and it is rolling out to more people over the coming weeks. It works in a very simple way: just download WhatsApp on the new smartphone, register with the same number and then using the old device scan the QR code shown on the new smartphone to start the transfer.
