The new HomePod has already passed through the hands of iFixit.
"Four years ago we did a teardown of Apple’s first smart speaker, the HomePod, and to say that teardown was excruciating would be an understatement," says he team of engineers.
iFixit has promoted the repairability of the new model, because Apple uses a lot less glue.
For the rest, no big surprise. Inside the HomePod 2 we find the S7 chip, LEDs for the top display, a large internal woofer, an amplifier-related board, a heatsink, a power supply, and five tweeters.
