Apple has stopped signing iOS 17.1.
This means that people who have upgraded their devices to iOS 17.1.1 can no longer downgrade to an older version.
The decision to interrupt the signatures of the various iOS has impact on users who jailbreak. It also avoids the risk of users installing outdated and unsafe software.
iOS 17.1.1 was released last week. It doesn't include any new iPhone features, but it does fix a few issues and bugs some users have experienced. In rare circumstances, Apple Pay and other NFC features may become unavailable on iPhone 15 models after wireless charging in certain cars. Weather Lock Screen widget may not correctly display snow.
Apple is expected to release iOS 17.2 soon.
