The CoTweet feature is currently being tested in the US, Canada, and Korea.
CoTweets seem to be geared more toward brands and creators than the typical Twitter users (like the collabs feature introduced by Instagram one year ago). Once two users co-author a tweet, it's posted on both their profiles simultaneously.
“We’re continuing to explore new ways for people to collaborate on Twitter,” explained Twitter spokesperson Joseph J. Nuñez to The Verge. “We’re testing CoTweets for a limited time to learn how people and brands may use this feature to grow and reach new audiences, and strengthen their collaborations with other accounts”.
