WhatsApp beta for Android 2.20.196.8: what’s new?

WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.20.196.8.
What’s new in this update? Discover all details below!

• All features listed below are actually unavailable.
• These features are under development: it means that WhatsApp is actually working to develop and improve them before the release. For this reason if you don’t see these features in your WhatsApp build it’s not a problem.
• If you don’t see the update on the Play Store, please refresh the Google Play Store in the next hours.

We’ve talked a lot of times about the possibility to use the same WhatsApp account on several devices. Actually WhatsApp is testing this possibility with 4 devices and the feature is still under development.
In the meantime, WhatsApp is working to create a UI to manage all Linked devices:

When this action will be enabled for beta users, the Linked Devices section appears:

This section will help the user to add a new device and, like the current WhatsApp Web/Desktop section, it reports all linked devices to your WhatsApp account.

In these 2.20.196 beta updates, WhatsApp is still working to improve the UI for the feature, that will allow to search a specific message type:
